STRANGE SYMPTOM

I have been experiencing a strange symptom for a couple of months now - can't be due to my trial on Levothyroxine as I only began that on Friday last. It is not painful, but I feel and hear a kind of fizzing noise at the base of my skull at the back just above the neck. It is a short sound of effervescence as if air were escaping out of rock (or bone?) It sounds a bit like sparkling drinks when they fizz up or maybe Andrews Liver Salts when added to the water!

Has anyone else experienced this? Or have any idea what it might be?

Baggiebod, it sounds as though it might be tinnitus. It's a common hypothyroid symptom and should improve when you are optimally medicated on Levothyroxine.
