Susie, if you're becoming breathless on 50mcg it might be better to go back to 45mcg and stick with that until your blood test. It's possible 50mcg is too much.

It would be a good idea to have ferritin, vitamin D, B12 and folate tested too. Levels need to be optimal to feel well

Susie, any build up of T4 or rT3 should pretty much have cleared by now. You might want to think about adding some T4 to a reduced dose of T3 after your blood test.

Hi Clutter I have never been really well on t4,suddenly became very hyper on anything above 100mcg dose of t4 despite been on 150 mcg of t4 for years.Everything got worse when I had to change from TEVA make due to potency issues and it was taken off the market.Maybe it was a coincidence.Since stopping t4 something has lifted ,so do not really want to go back on it . Scared nothing wll help now.

you do not have to take t4. You may be further suppressing your TSH, but not on enough and more hypo than before. It is all trial and error. You could raise every week by 6.25 and see what happens. You may have to lower, but looks like raising is best. You really have to play around with it and take it 1x per day.
