As you know I am hypo and for the last few weeks when I sit down my feet and legs start to fizz like pins and needles and this only happens then and not when im moving around and I'm just wondering if anyone knows what this is or is it just connected to my thyroid?
Thank you

Mummytina, could it be restless legs syndrome? Can be caused by iron deficiency anaemia but I don't think it is usually a thyroid thing. nhs.uk/conditions/restless-...
I know what you mean, fizzing is a good way of describing it. I explained to my husband that the soles of my feet feel like they are vibrating, but fizzing is a better description!
That doesn't sound like restless legs syndrome. Fizzing sounds more like pins and needles, paresthesia. Have a google around that. B12 deficiency is linked to paresthesia.
I too have this symptom, and also paresthesia in the arms and hands when I sleep, so that I wake up with them numb and have to move them - I suspect B12 problems, but I haven't proved that yet.
No, thank you! that is a really helpful clue to me. I think it undoubtedly will be your B12 deficiency then - you should definitely mention it to your doctor.
My B12 was 270 I can't remember the range. I gave myself loading doses and have continued with one injection a month, so I think it must be something else. The link above mentions kidney problems and my GFR was low on my last blood test, so I'd better check that out again.
