Hi Kathmax, I can't give you any answers but only my support and a bit of advise, get your bloods done, don't wait till September, if you feel like crap. You know your own body and if it doesn't feel right get checked out.

Hope you feel better soon :-)

Hi Kath, In this forum we rarely agree with what GPs are calling "normal" blood tests.

And just because yours happen to be within that wide range considered normal does not mean it is right for you.

I hope doctors are getting used to being asked for a print out of your test results since it is legal for you to have them. Proof from them that you are producing enough of your own hormone to keep a healthy metabolism and if your ft4 is high enough, then they have to prove that your ft3 is also in the upper part of the range. This refusal of the all important ft3 test is really offensive when the patient is still not feeling well.

Many here resort to get tests done privately but that isn't fair if you are insured.

Agree completely with other posters - the bloods might be in range but that doesn't make them ok. Unfortunately so many doctors think the numbers are infallible and they aren't.

Get some bloods done and make sure you ask for the results so you can post them here - we'll soon be able to tell you how "ok" they are!
