Can anyone tell me if they suffer from watery eyes.

Hi, I too have watery eyes. So frustrating. Worse when out and about. Doesn't seem to happen indoors. This started about six months ago after having underactive thyroid for about six years. I take Levo 75mg.

Mine are often very watery in the morning and it affects my vision but it clears up later in the day. Overall my eyes are dryer than they used to be and I had to give up contact lenses because of that.

Hi Curlycurly,

Yes, I've got dry eyes. My eye problems were one of the first symptoms to develop after my thyroidectomy. I get eye drops with my thyroxine prescription and can't really be without them (I work in an office).

I find bathing them with cool, boiled water twice a day helps to soothe the outer irritation and calm the redness.

I also do an eye exercise called palming at my desk which can help;

Yes I get very watery eyes and have noticed it worsens when I am out and about. Always have to take tissues and keep mopping ! I've been hypo for 20 years and this has only been last 6montha or so .

Me too, for about the last 3 - 4 years.

Me too for years, I have shares in Tissue companies, always make sure before I go out I have a good supply to hand!
