It is good news. Unlike bad news, good news can travel exceedingly slowly. Almost two years so far and pretty much no perceptible sign of anyone with prescribing powers having heard it yet. Sadly.
This is a step in the right direction. Many sufferers are being let down by GP's and the Health providers ( including NHS ). The meds are out there that SHOULD be tried as alternatives when one fails. However, some meds are more expensive. A deal should be done to lower the price with companies. My wife has put on about 100 pounds while using levo which is not unusual. The weight gain has affected her back and lowered her self-esteem, again not unusual there either. Thanks for the link and will see next time what GP has to say.
Its crazy, does your wife take t3?
Unfortunately she only takes levothyroxine. She had been on 225mcg at one stage but is down to 150 mcg at the moment. We are seriously thinking about T3 on private prescription but judging by the look on her GP's face it wouldn't be forthcoming from her.
