But it says here, it can sometimes be beneficial. But I agree, we Don't need huge amounts, and that is probably where we're going wrong. But I'm pretty certain humans have always eaten sweet things when they can find them!

I've never been one that has been conned by this whole 'sugarfree' crap and I have long since advocated the fact that aspartame is the spawn of the devil! I buy and prepare my meat and vegetables fresh and add sugar to my tea and coffee. I'm a strong believer in the adage that sugar in moderation is not going to harm you. However, if you can't bear the though of going back to using sugar, one of the best, and most important, alternatives is honey!

Unfortunately, I can't bear honey! lol No, a little bit of sugar from time to time is not going to hurt you, I'm sure. I use coconut flower sugar. I like the taste.
