As much as it may well be impractical to use a dog as a diagnostic tool, it would be much nicer (if you like dogs!) x

Pennyrose, thanks for posting. First time I've heard of thyCa being sniffed out. Hope it helps improvement into the 'electronic' nose becoming a useful diagnostic tool. My dogs are only useful in sniffing out things they'd like to eat. They have other qualities though
Oh goodness- I hope the dogs in the trial don't fancy a bit of hu-man?!
I read an article about 2 years ago about a cat in a hospice spending time with the next person who would die. Although not scientifically proven, the. nursing staff used it as an indicator and advised the family.
There is obviously something the dogs (and cats) can detect with their nose. Amazing stuff x
Yes this interesting! So there must be specific bio markers in the urine that are identifiable to a dog. If that is the case scientists should be able to break this down eventually. Very interesting how they are going on urine testing and not bloods😉. We have been saying for such a long time how much more accurate urine testing is.
