Thanks for this interesting link. I have had hair problems since becoming hypo but is not just 'hair loss' it's alopecia areata. Not pleasant.

No, I had a friend who had that!

I lost all my hair last year. It just all dropped out in one go when I washed it one day. My then doctor said it was normal at my age, because apart from that, I was perfectly healthy!!! HA HA HA!

How many women 'of a certain age' has your doctor seen walking around without hair? Any excuse.

I didn't ask! lol But as he is the most unpopular doctor in town, I guess he hasn't had many bald lady patients! I tried to educate him, but he could shout louder than me, and he wasn't having any of it!!! Well, he's going to retire soon, so that will save a few lives.

I hope that that Doctor, wakes up bald and chokes on his own hair...that he inhaled, that was on his pillow.

Thank you, faith, but he was already bald. lol Well, as near as damn it. But then he was a man, it is normal for men, not for women. But as he told me - when I suggested it as a possible problem (actually I know it is) - that women don't have testosterone, I just left never to return. How can any doctor be so ignornant!

Maybe he is so proud he has testosterone, he doesn't want anyone else to have any. :)

lol I know! I told him so but all he said was : well, there's nothing else wrong with you, so it must just be your age! Ha ha ha! You've got to laugh or you'd cry. And that with a B12 of 350! Which, according to him, was 'perfect'! And that was the only thing he agreed to test, so god knows what the rest was like!

But every time I said anything he said 'I have an advantage over you when it comes to médicine, because I've been a doctor for over 40 years!' Well, what can you say to that? If I'd started it would have got nasty. We were already shouting at each other so goodness knows what the people in the waiting room thought! Such a farce! Needless to say, I never went back after that.

Yup, but he didn't listen, far too busy listening to the sound of his own voice!

And the weird thing is, I really liked the man. lol He was kind and caring, just totally ignorant. He would have made a good doctor if he'd studied médicine.

Oh, no!!!!!!!! That is terrible! Yes, I can understand how upset and betrayed you felt. It was a betrayal!
