Eye problem !!
Have you always had this problem? I googled 'one pupil bigger than the other': merckmanuals.com/home/eye_d...
I've had it for a while but then I've been poorly for a while but only found out since my bloods last Monday,b12 very low,vit d very low, folic acid so I'm wondering if its because if that ?
Sorry joeltite1, not a symptom of these I've come across before but I'm certainly no authority.
Certainly something that should be investigated as according to : webmd.com/eye-health/featur...
' Pupil abnormalities. The pupils of healthy people are usually (but not always) symmetrical. They’re usually of the same size, and they usually show the same reaction upon exposure to light. If one pupil is bigger than the other, or if one pupil shrinks less, or more slowly, on exposure to light, there could be an underlying medical problem. Possibilities include stroke, brain or optic nerve tumor, brain aneurysm, syphilis, and multiple sclerosis (MS). Finally, many medications -- including illicit drugs -- can cause the pupils to appear unusually small or large, says Peter Kastl, MD, PhD, professor of ophthalmology, Tulane University School of Medicine. '
I hope you get more useful help on here.

Here is a thread about eye irregularity, including enlarge pupil healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...
Sure can. I lost colour vision and developed a dilated pupil. Both have resolved with thyroxine. But when I get tired it is noticeable.

I have apupil larger than another due to a head injury 30 years ago, but it is still checked annually. An optician might be able to help initially. Please get it checked ASAP.
I agree with jbrick - make an appointment at your local optician and get it checked out ASAP - your optician will be able to look in behind your eye and refer you on Somewhere else if need be. Try and be seen today.
Thank you I will give them a call and get booked in
Hi,
Yes I have one pupil larger than the other, it seems to be related to my Graves Eye Disease, which has been treated and is currently under control. It doesn't seem to cause me any problems, but is more noticeable when I'm tired. Please get it checked soon though, as the quicker it's caught and treated, hopefully the less damage will be done.
Regards
One of my son's pupils is larger than the other. We noticed it when he was a teenager and the GP referred him to an ophthalmic consultant very quickly. He was given various tests and an MRI of his head, neck and chest to look for problems within the eye and particularly in the vagus nerve, which could indicate a serious problem, they were thinking Horner's syndrome at the time which worried us terribly. Thankfully no abnormalities were found and he was told it was called Adie's syndrome and probably the result of a virus at some time in the past, but he was also given a letter to keep in case it was ever queried in the future, so that he could show that it had been thoroughly investigated. I think there can be several causes but I agree with others that you should see a specialist a soon as possible for a thorough check up. It's most likely nothing to be concerned about, but better to find out anyway and please, if you think whoever you see just brushes it off with a quick look, ask to see a consultant for thorough testing.
Good luck and please let us know what happens
