Nope not a one lol!! No matter! He was more helpful than my gp anyway. Got me seen urgently at dermatology...upped my thyroxine..took a host of bloods tests one of which showing high cortisol (720) so urine being tested..should get results on fri when I see him again. Just been advised I have MRSA again tho 😢 xx

Kirsty, Hopefully you'll get some help when you post your new results. I think a lot of people are carriers but isn't it only a problem if you're due to have surgery?

Yeah ur right but I am at hosp 3 times a week for treatment for my skin so precautions have to be taken...they scrubbing everything after me....feel like a leper 😢 xx

Dont be daft, Kirsty. It's simply a precaution to protect other patients from those healthworkers and doctors who spread infection because with all their education they don't always observe basic hand washing hygiene.

The woman in the bed next to mine had her op delayed a week because they found MRSA at the pre-op and she had to shower and scrub her hair with some horrible stuff 3 times a day prior to thyroidectomy but that was to protect her from complications during surgery.

Yeah I know hun just feels horrible...i had to take kids with me today n as I get uvb they werent allowed in the room n were next door but then i wasnt allowed to go in with them or it would have been 2 rooms to scrub! I know its all precautionery but still makes u feel bit rubbish. Was bad enough after my csection! Onwards n upwards tho! Xx

Hi Kirsty, I'm seeing him for the first time next week. It sounds like he listened to you in upping your thyroxine. I've got multinodular goitre but bloods say I'm normal. So, I'm just hoping he'll give me something or do something. :-)
