Why Your Doctor Doesn't Always Tell You The Truth

An interesting article in the Telegraph, some of the comments are also of note. PR

"Medicine has historically been about disguising, sanitising and spinning the truth. Dr Phil Hammond explains why honesty is not always the best medicine."

  • Amazing that doctors are taught to lie but not to listen!!

  • Good piece. Dr Malcolm Kendrick also has a new book out about sorting the 'wheat from the chaff' with GP's....... Google him. As usual Statins were being castigated - but I am not surprised. Most of us on here wouldn't touch them with a barge pole anyway......... :-)

  • How come he doesn't suggest that doctors get their act together and start improving the care they give, instead of making a joke of it all! 'Front bottom'! I ask you!!!
