I made a typing mistake with my Ferritin results
Thank you for your reply, but does that still apply to my being on T3 only?
Please be careful supplementing with iron. Does your bloodtest result have the unit specified? It's usually in mg/dL or ng/mL (basically the same) but it could have a different unit. This is important to know when recommending an ideal level. Generally 70-90 ng/mL is considered optimal for thyroid patients by some specialists. Of course some GPs would have us suffering at 20ng/mL saying "all is well". Let us know what the units are for your blood test so we have an idea if you're on the right track.
Has your doctor told you that you need to raise your ferritin from its current level of 83? If so, go with what he has said. If not, check into this first. Too much iron can be just as harmful as too little. If your ferritin is 83ng/mL (or mg/dL) that looks fine but if the units are different (say pmol/L) you may need to raise it a little higher.
