Hi my thyroid seems to be getting hit by my pegasys injections (interferon) I take 25mcg of Levo per day my plasma free T4 is 7.26 mIu/L (0.4 - 4.00)

Can anyone advise on what amount of Levo I may need per day ?

Very few people only need 25 micrograms of levothyroxine. It seems to be enough to cause the body's production of thyroid hormone to drop, but not enough to replace that (as well as supply the original need).

It looks as if your free T4 result is not a free T4 test! The units for free T4 tests are usually pmol/L (or ng/dL in some countries). Units of mIu/L and the range strongly suggest your result is for a TSH test.

It would surprise me if you do not need 50 micrograms or more. Very difficult to predict without the interferon issue.
