Went haywire over a year ago when tsh unrecordable.

Been really ill eversince.

All test been within range.

I now feel far worse than I did before on thyroxine.

Cannot work.

Why is this.

All tests within range? even the free and the reverse t3.?

It seems to be an often repeated story, people do well with levo for 10 or 12 years then it stops working.

It may be that you can no longer convert t4 into t3,

Or your adrenals might have had enough of propping you up. ( saliva test)

Or you might have too much rT3

Or too little iron or ferritin

There is a reason..... Detective hat on... You now h ave to find it.

Thanks Galathea ,the only blood test I have not had is rt3 ,I will get it done soon. Thanks for the reply,I am so scared it is not the thyroid that is causing issue ,but had all sorts of test which thankfully are normal.

It is just that you feel so alone and abadaned by medical services.Fear is a terrible thing.

Hi Susie, So if its not your thyroid, its probably one of the myriad of things which can affect it. Fear only happens when you face the unknown... But be systematic, first thing to do is start taking your temperature three times a day, and plot the average on a graph.... You will then get some idea if the problem is adrenal or thyroid.... or neither.

Hello Susie,

Sorry to hear you are so poorly.

Maybe you need to have the ASI saliva Test done - to check you Adrenals, they can be a big part of the problem, they certainly where in my case, maybe in the mean time you could have regular doses of buffered vitamin C and maybe some Liquorice and Gingseng Tincture

Best wishes

Debs

Your welcome. I know when you feel as ill as you do that you can feel it will never get better, but it does, little changes add up and with time your health will improve. I was extremely poorly like you but now thanks to a good selection of vitamins, removing certain things from my diet, adrenal support and the right medication - thiings are finally picking up and I am sure they will for you as well. Best wishes Debs
