Problem with T3?

Hi guys. Could you tell me if there is a problem with any batch of t3 in the UK? I started a new bottle and seem to have gone slowly down hill over last 2 weeks. Got even more hypothyroid symptoms! I will have to monitor my dats now which have been holding stable at 36.7 but I took my temp earlier and its dropped to 36.4.

Yes I spotted that and replied to it. Do you know if anyone has problems with the batch I'm on?

Jan, I've been on 81745 since the beginning of June and haven't had any problems with potency/symptoms. I had to reduce my dose in Sept because FT3 was over range. Have you had a thyroid blood test recently to check you're on a sufficient dose?

I'm having thyroid bloods done Monday. They are done every 6 weeks. My t3 is àlways just over range but think its still pooling.

If you are having hypo symptoms you have to contact the makers Amdipharm and tell them. They will notify you as they will have to investigate. There have been a couple of members who have had problems but maybe not with your batch number. We really should not have any problems whatsoever with T3. They charge enough for the products for it to be more than perfect.

Thank you. I've just filled in a yellow card as I'm pretty sure its that. I will also ring the manufacturer. I've done this 3 times now. You'd think they woyld get it right esp as you say for the cost.

It's only by doing this will they ever get the message. Whatever they produce, it should remain constant and not be changed.

Yes as its our health and well being on the line x

Thanks for doing yellow card. Please repeat every time you have an issue.

It was yellow card reports that uncovered the Teva issue and resulted in their levothyroxine having its licence withdrawn.

Yellow card reports can be made by patients and medics here:

I will keep doing the yellow card until they all sort them selves out and give us meds that actually work properly. X

I am on batch 81526 exp 13/06/2016 and also feeling worse.

It's about time the NHS stopped buy T3 and T4 from Amdipharm...who are Mercury Pharma, as the number of us that have had problems with their stuff is getting to be a lot!

Making this stuff on the cheap in the back streets of India....really!

That's a statement that's gonna upset a few people.....but it's true so on you go lol!

But that statement is a measure of how strongly I feel after their Levo nearlly put me in hospital.

Hi Flatfred, It did put my son in hospital, but all the doctor in charge did was to put him on PPI's after he was intubated to find out the cause, as they said he had inflammation. He does have a swallow problem, but had only suffered 3 bouts of choking in about 20 years. He went in supported living a year ago and has had 3 bouts since then, only one causing hospitalisation though, which was the one that put in in hospital. Amdipharm medication is lethal. I am still suffering after coming off it in February . Still suffered with same symptoms - although not so bad on Wockhardt and am now trying Aliud. Do not really know if symptoms I am still having are connected to Aliud or I am still getting rid of Amdipharm Levo from my system.

Although I know the meds are actually made in England, it is still an Indian company behind them and you have to wonder at the quality and quantity of ingredients in the tablets! I feel as strongly about these tablets as you do!

Hi j_bee. Well I stopped taking MP levo around late Feb and had nothing for 2 months and then started on NDT. It then took till end of August before I felt like I was getting there. I'm still left with the damage of PA and other auto immune stuff but at least the horrible effects of the Levo have gone. I'm still waiting for my eyebrows to grow back tho lol. God it was awful! I didn't know the meds were now being made in England...because they weren't, and were made a 2 different locations in India....under the old product license for Eltroxin. They've now changed that little illegal practice!

So sorry to hear of your Sons problems too. It's horrible when you see your kids suffering.

I never did get on that well with any of the synthetic Levo's...never feeling quite right...but since discovering NDT through this forum am now starting to feel the best I've felt in many years. I had a total thyroidectomy over 40 yrs ago so haven't had the full hormone profile since then.

If we were living in the States we would be taking out a Class Action against MP.

Best of luck and hope you start to feel better soon.
