Does Penicillin interfere with Levothyroxine? I have been prescribed 250 mg, 4 times per day

for 10 days. Thanks

There is more than a hint that there are thyroid hormone/penicillin interactions but I have been unable to find a useful link/source. I couldn't possibly give any advice on that basis other than simply to be aware and consider whether you feel that there is an impact.

There might be a second impact at the end of the course when you stop taking the penicillin.

Rather hoping someone else turns up a decent reference!

Thanks for the link! I found that when given a very strong penicillin. Can't remember which one now but it corresponded with a new batch of Levo at a time MP were being targeted for dodgy batches. I actually sent in a yellow card as felt so bad but also mention that could it be down to the antibiotic. I got no feedback.
