I had partial 2 years ago and on levo ever since and adjusted a couple of times and now just on 50 mcg. Eversince the surgery my cholesterol been up so as my blood pressure especially my diastolic. I am very health conscious and on my feet most of the time I mean active. I eat foods though like cooked Broccoli ,cabbage etc including almond and walnut (raw) which I am aware not good for me on a daily basis. After reading some of the posts I wonder if I am suffering from a secondary high blood pressure. Could I be under treated? perhaps should be taking more medications other than levo? I have a normal weight and stable at that. please help... by the way I take my levo at 2:00 am just so it would be hours away from when I eat nuts and high fibers food for breakfast.

Why are you taking levo when you should be sleeping? Why are you awake at 2:00 a.m.?

Welcome to the forum, Helenzky.

High cholesterol can be a result of undermedication. If you post your recent thyroid blood test results with the lab ref ranges (the figures in brackets after your results) members will advise whether you are optimally medicated.

Hypothyroid patients are often deficient/low in ferritin, vitamin D, B12 and folate so it may be worth asking your GP to test these. Post your results for interpretation with the ranges and members will advise whether you need supplementation.
