Could it be B12 ? Have you been tested recently ?

That reaction sounds dreadful and they cannot possibly expect you to continue.
There are several alternatives which may suit.
There is a liquid thyroxine.
You can get a compounded one made to your specification.
Otherwise, Naturethroid is hypoallergenic and your GP would have to prescribe this on a named-patient basis.
I hope you find a solution after being so steady for all those years. The fillers/binders in the generic levo obviously doesn't suit you.

Meadow22, take an antihistamine an hour before taking your Levothyroxine. If you are having an allergic reaction to a filler in the Levothyroxine the antihistamine should stop it.
Trying an antihistamine a good idea to test for fillers etc. I've alwYs thought it was lack of something in the blood. When I was a platelet donor I suffered with that a little and they had to slow down my contribution rate. In doing that they remove some blood, mix it with an anti coagulant, remove the platelets and put the blood back in the system. After many repeats the calcium level rises, no problem short term but the tingling can be noticed. The lips are very sensitive as lots of blood vessels near the surface hence red lips. So it is also a good indicator if something a little unbalanced. If the anti histamine don't point to the problem and you are not dehydrated then have a word with the GP about a blood rest.
You can become allergic or intolerant to almost anything because of the UAT!! It might be that you have become allergic or intolerant to the fillers in the tablets!! I suggest you read all the replies.
