My husband tells me there is an article in paper today regarding thyroid and T3. I am new here and haven't read it yet but thought more experienced members might be interested.

Oh goody! People must comment! Newspapers will only report on things they think will get a reaction or interest, so as many people as possible should comment!

We've been buried alive by the medical profession, so articles like this might help us to dig our way out.

Have just read the DM article and straightway came to make comment here fully expecting that others would too.........The best newspaper article I've seen so far which really highlights the need for T3 testing and not assuming that T4 is the" one size fits all " answer.As one of the fortunate patients who now receive T3 medication at last,it was like reading my own story.

There is no direct E-mail address for reply to Jeremy Burne but presumably we can send a comment to the Daily Mail ?

We can't just let this one pass us by, it's too relevant to all that we are trying to do to get better diagnosis and treatment here in UK.

Shame that the article is not 'hard-hitting' but some good responses so far. We all need to keep shouting about poor treatment.

We all need as much advertising as we can get to highlight the dreadful state of thyroid treatment in this country. If lots of comments are made on this article then the Daily Mail might publish more on the subject.
