Interesting read.
Hi poppyrose,
Thanks for posting. We have had an earlier post but they disappear too quickly off the front page.
I found the comments very interesting too! Some familiar faces there...! xx
Don't suppose you could cut and paste the comments and send them to me.
I read the article in the paper yesterday but of course you miss the comments which for me are often the best part - I love to see what other people think.
Anyway, when I went online to read them it asks me to sign up for a trial - then it doesn't like the information put in - probably because we used to have a subscription for cheap Telegraphs which I stopped in an economy drive because I was reading it online and the recycling box was collapsing under the weight if daily papers.
Turned out I was only getting free online access to the paper because we had the subscription, now I'm having trouble getting access their free trial. It says I have an account or something stupid like that.
Sometimes life just isn't easy. So if it is possible for someone to cut and paste the comments that would be really wonderful. If that's not possible I can always try opening up a hotmail account and trying from that.
There are rather a lot of them - can try emailing... drop me an email... louise.warvill@thyroiduk.org

Hiya fruitandnutcase, i could read the comments and yes you're right they are sooo informative and you often learn so much more from others.
I will try to but there were 75, quite a lot! Let me know if it works.
I know you shouldn't have to but I used to have a subscription and get vouchers to get the paper for half price. Now as soon as I click the link a box pops up telling me I have to register before I can read the article.
Think it is something to do with that I just can't get anywhere. Total pain in the neck.
Have just ticked the 'can't remember your password?' option so when they give me another one I will try again. Grrr
Try a different browser. The Telegraph isn't pay-to-view so it's probably just recognising your IP address in asking for a password?
Thank you snazzy and Londinium for your good suggestions. Good thinking. Will go through and try a different browser on my desktop. I think getting rid if the cookies will be a good idea and I'm sure snazzy is right it is recognising my IP address. I was thinking of making myself a hotmail address and trying that - I'm not normally technologically challenged but this is getting to be a pain.
That article was refreshing. I haven't seen one like that in a national newspaper before. The article itself wasn't perfect, a few things unmentioned or somewhat misrepresented but it also had some very good points and it was like a breath of fresh air.
I'm so glad that someone in the national press is recognising Dr Skinner, I wish they could have whilst he was alive.
Did the author have any contact with Thyroid UK or would Thyroid UK be interested in contacting the author if they'd ever like to do a piece on thyroid problems with a patient story etc?
Dr Chris Steele said he always got a huge response when he mentioned thryoid care on Good Morning TV. A good thyroid article could well provoke a big reader response for the Telegraph.
Totoro xx
Got access using snazzy a suggestion - next stop will be deleting cookies. Thanks for the help
Do you think this post is worth pinning? I feel quite uplifted today after reading it, perhaps others would too.
pinned! x
Well, it looks as though there's a GP commenting but am pleased to say that Clutter is sorting him out!! Go Clutter.
... explain please?? lol copy & paste
I read the article on my phone but the comments don't show. Curious now
I know, I find you can't get the same full program on a phone or tablet etc... I always use my desk top for serious stuff like this you've got me curious now too!! lol
