Very revealing! A little light relief.

I think some of this must have been written by Weetman! lol

Never mind what WE do to annoy THEM. What about what THEY do to annoy US!

I particularly like the slide-show at the end. As a non-breakfast eater, I love hearing what other people have for breakfast. It always amazes me that their stomachs can cope with such things first thing in the morning. And this is a good example of what I said about doctors and nutrition!

Enjoy!

I don't do breakfast either, Grey. I think the "diluted cranberry" is probably red wine ;)

lol That's what I thought! Why would you dilute Cranberry, anyway? It's lovely as it is.

Grey, the doctor's probably a sugar or fructose fascist. I would only add vodka and grapefuit to cranberry.

Bunch of poseurs. One guy says the low fat diet is not good and most of the breakfasts are low fat. fehhhhh. Berries are great, if you are a black bear.

Exactly! Stupid clots. Egg white omelette! They're missing out on the best part of the egg! Well, it's their fault, they should keep up with research and then they'd know they don't have to suffer low fat and can enjoy their food!

See greygoose, that's why they are missing intellectual prowess. They are depriving their brains of needed nutrients. Doctors, as we have noticed to our collective alarm, no nothing about nutrition. Who ever thought that doctors are healthier than the rest of us plebs. Don't know now if it is the guy who is head of the NHS or what, but he was a diabetic boozer.

Did you name yourself after the bird or the vodka?

greygoose profile image
greygoose in reply togabkad

I totally agree with you on that one!

No, I named myself after a poem I read the day that I signed up for this forum. Don't know a vodka called Greygoose. But then I'm not a vodka drinker. I prefer gin or tequila! lol

Greygoose is a pricier French vodka.

Geese are such wonderful intelligent birds. They are excellent parents and they fly long distances during migration. I am stupidly sentimental about geese.

Cheers.

Yes, I think you are right in first sentence. What do they say that annoys us? '"nothing wrong with you as your TSH is normal" or they don't even think of doing a blood test in the first place.

Breakfast is my best meal of the day.

What do they say to annoy us? Just copy out the contents of their little black book : 1001 Stupid Things to Say When You Don't Know What You're Talking about!!!

Astro, I wasn't recommending anyone follow their breakfast menus. Personnally, I don't eat breakfast. First thing in the morning I have a glass of very cold water, followed by some sort of cold juice - pomegranat, Cranberry, pineapple - something I haven't got in the fruit bowl - followed by a cup of cocoa with coconut sugar and hot water (no milk).

No way could I attack the sort of breakfasts they eat - neither the quantity nor the quality! - first thing in the morning. I just found it amusing the hypocrassy of it all.

My breakfast consists of Coco Pops and ice-cold semi-skimmed milk. I suppose that's dreadful... oh well heyho! :-D

-My breakfast consists of a frusli bar and a load of supplements - lunch - if I remember it is what can I grab protein wise quickly out of the fridge and dinner is how can I get out of cooking these days - I had 4 lads to feed which was a mammoth task + the washing. These days if it aint put infront of me I don't want it - my husband drags me out for Sunday lunch these days just to get me to eat - and I still put on weight XX

You sound very much like me! Although I couldn't face a frusili. My daughter invites me to lunch or takes me out on Sunday lunchtime so that I get a good meal but I have trouble eating it.

If you're still putting on weight it's because your T3 levels aren't optimised yet! It has nothing to do with what you eat.

Hugs, Grey

Thanks Grey

This has now gone on for years! We went out for Sunday Lunch yesterday - same old thing - I left half of it! I have stopped gaining weight which is a relief, but it ain't going yet. The thing is how will I know when I am optimally dosed? (Nature-Throid) I am going to start experimenting with taking the meds at night or a least splitting them and taking half at night. This seems to make sense to me when you realise that your hormones are highest during the night - well I know the TSH is at least - I really like your wise posts! XX

Thank you, Sheenah.

You will know when you are optimally dosed because all your symptoms will be gone!

I think it's very sensible to try different dosing times because we are all different and react differently to thinks like that. Personally, I am on T3 only, 100mcg, and take it all at night. That is what I have found suits me best. I tried Nature-throid and several other NDTs but I didn't do well on any of them - I just can't take that T4, whether natural or synthetic. But lots of people thrive on NDT, so it just goes to show. xxx
