My TSH is 2.43 and my TPO are over 1,300. I take 1 1/2 grains of Armour. . Also how low can my TSH go to be optimol and not aggravate my osteoporosis? Thank you so much :-)

Jabulani, FT4 and FT3 are 'ideal' when they're in the top 75% of range so aim for FT4 >17.5 and FT3 >5.75. You should aim to keep your TSH above 0.04 to avoid worsening your osteoporosis. Raising your NDT to 2 grains will reduce your TSH slightly and may improve your FT4 and FT3.

Make sure you take calcium and bisphosphates 4 hours away from NDT.

Thank you so much Clutter. So if my TSH reaches 0.04 but the FT4 and FT3 are not in the top 75% of the range how do I manage that?

You might not hit the 'ideal' Jabulani but you'll feel better near it than where you are now. Ferritin, vitamin D, B12 and folate need to be at good levels to aid absorption of NDT and conversion of FT4 to FT3.

Thank you so much. All the following are above range for some reason .... Ferritin 185.2 ug/L (5 - 148ug/L), B12 857 (191-663ug/L)and folate 19.5ug/L (4.6- 18.7) . My Vitamin D is 88.3 What would the normal Vit D be?

Jabulani, vitamin D optimal range is 75-200 so you are in there but may want to supplement Oct-Apr when the light spectrum is too low to promotoe vitD naturally. I would ask your GP why your other results are over range next time you see her/him.

Thank you Hypnoteq. So interesting about the Japanese range for Vit D. As for iron levels ...... I had UIBC 36.0 ( 24.2 - 70.1)Iron 15.0 (6.6 - 30.4) TIBC 51.0 (44.8 - 80.6) Transferritin Saturation 29.4 (20-50) All within normal range. My CRP was mildly elevated at 5.3 (0-5) Thanks so much :-)

Hypnoteq, ferritin is optimal 70-90 and vitD 75-200.
