Do all Doctors test for the 't' elements and about veg - is this all ok to eat?

Hi Im not sure my Doctors know much about thyroid - they do a blood test - not sure they test for the T elements?

I also have an enlarged area in neck and was told that had an auto-immune disease etc - I eat lots and juice veg and just read that this may be bad for me?

Sally, If your TSH is in range many GPs and labs won't test FT4. FT3 is usually only tested when TSH is suppressed <0.04. If you post your thyroid results with the lab ref ranges members will comment/advise.

Goitrogens are best avoided raw but most are fine to eat when lightlly cooked. Some excellent info in this thread healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...
