Dr P advised after 10 days start T3 10 mcg if temp or pulse drops. It changes from one day to the next but most times is below 65. I was really ill taking levo and didn't improve when T3 was added. I don't know what to do for the best.
Dr P said I may not need Thyroid meds once my adrenals were sorted (I'm taking 4 nax a day) but with my tsh rising do you think I should add some T3.

what are the lab ranges? Lots of people don't do good on levo but on NDT like Armour thyroid, Nature-throid, Erfa, etc. I personally could not handle levo. I take Armour and feel mostly ok. Your adrenals gotta be ok. good luck
If you are consulting with Dr P, ring his office and leave a message. He should get back to you. If he says you may not need thyroid meds once your adrenals are fixed maybe you don't have hypothyroidism and wouldn't need lifelong medication.
A normal pulse rate is between 60 and 100 bpm. I would take my pulse on wakening as it must vary throughout the day, unless of course you have palpitations which are more vigorous than a pulse.
The effect of levothyroxine gradually reduces over several weeks and your TSH level at present would be classified as 'within normal range'.
I must admit it is a stressful time trying to get some stability in your medication.
Thanks Shaws, Its just so confusing my first test when diagnosed showed tsh 29 (0.2-4.0) and tpa 730 (0.0 - 50.0) so I was shocked when Dr P said I may not need medication, I will contact him on Monday.
