my TED consultant suggested I double the dose of Levothyroxine, (last week my Endo said levels fine and kept me on 25mg a day) so from today I'm taking 50mg, does anyone know how long it would be before I feel any affect please?

how long before see any affect of increase in Levothyroxine
When I increased my dose from 25 to 50mcg of Levo a day I got the shakes in my hands, I now take 37.5 mcg each day and am fine.
oh right, thanks slj1970, I was hoping for some positive affects (more energy, less lethargy etc.) not bad ones lol, but good to know though!
When I first started taking Levo I would say it took about a month or so for me to stop feeling sleepy, and no more of that brain fog and also feeling sick for no apparent reason.
You'll hopefully get some better answers from people who have more knowledge than I do, I know that certain vit and mineral levels play an important role in the taking of levo.

how long after you increased the dose to 50mg did that happen Slj1970?
Usually, when you increase your dose it takes about six weeks to take effect altogether but 50mcg is still a very low dose. Hopefully your doctor will keep increasing until you feel well. The problem is many when your TSH is 'within range' stop increasing and you may begin to feel unwell again.
