But not without the advice and support from everyone on this forum. IM learning so much from you all. I hope I can do the same for others who join the forum. I will now see how it goes with the Levo
Finally been prescribed 25mcg Levo today - Thyroid UK
Finally been prescribed 25mcg Levo today
I hope it helps you but doubt it will help much, it's too low, 50/75mcg would be more appropriate. Make sure you get a blood test in 4/6 weeks and get an increase if your TSH isn't down to around 1.
Yes she said to repeat bloods in 4 weeks. Slightly raised cholesterol too. 5.7. So will need to get that sorted too
That's good news :-). Thanks have been really worried about it.
Agree with everything that's been said! Good luck!
I started with 25mcg of Levo and it made a huge difference to my wellbeing - once I had begun to get over the years of being undiagnosed. I am very sensitive to levo and a higher dose at that time would have been too much. A TSH of 1 would have been too low for me. 25mcg can be a good maintenance dose and a TSH of above 2 can also be good - it all depends as we are all unique. What matters is well-being not figures. Good luck and I hope you find the treatment and levels which suit you.
Its seems to have made a difference already? Has anyone else had an instant change? TSH was 12.8 two months later 8.8. I think it's been borderline for years but it really got unbearable. The last few months.
