Hi Statins, I have been on them a long time, avorastatin, need out weight anything. However, it has never affected my thyroid. If start them for the first few weeks have just a dose alternate days, fewer side affects then.

Vit D is a hormone, ideally under an Endo. First have a test, GP take a while to come back. If l.ow then a calcium test, calcium needs to be in range, not too high as generally D makes it rise, an electrolyte so may be dangerous then. If below range you need calcium and vit d, NICE.On a script, start low and slowly put up the vit D, to watch the calcium. re test 3 months after starting , once levels right, concessional re tests.Make sure your iron/ferritin is clearly in range too. B12 high in range and Diabetes tested, autoimmune hormonal.

Hi Make sure you BP is Ok, as cholesterol highish and highish BP not good. Some docs have mixed feelings now about Statins but Cardios , even for very low cholesterol, like mine, believe essential.

NO-ONE should take statins, they destroy Co-enzyme Q10 which is vital for replacing body cells.
