Very likely. Would you like to post your recent thyroid results with lab ref ranges and say how much medication you're taking then we can advise if you look to be under medicated.
Hi, I have had this sort of problem most of my life. Your thyroid could well be part of the cause, but do get referred to a physiotherapist for individualized exercises and postural advice, and read up on posture. My own neck distress has been connected with a bad habit since childhood of hanging my shoulders on my neck, and with tightness right at the base of my back in the sacral region -- and that has a lot to do with thyroid. It would be worth tracking down a reputable osteopath to check for, and deal with, tensions in the spine generally. I find stretching exercises of a morning very important, and the main thing is to get the bottom of the back freed up and stretched. The most important exercise is to lie on the carpet, on your back with knees up, and roll your hips from side to side -- that helps so much.
I got life-changing neck exercises off an NHS physio.
Thsnks for the advice, getting checked
