Could be your kidneys? Have you had any investigation for possible inflammation of your bladder? Urethra? Did the doctor send your urine off to the lab?

I don't think a doctor can say it's autoimmune without any other investigations.

I have had haematuria but do not have Hashis. I was sent for a kidney ultrasound and a cystoscopy where they put a camera into your bladder - it wasn't even slightly painful and is nothing to fear. NHS guidelines state that you should be sent as an urgent referral in certain circumstances. If you look at the NHS website it will give you an idea if that includes you. It is a sign of bladder cancer but don't panic like I did! It is a very common thing. If I was you I would do a bit of research and then go back to your gp. Using reputable websites adds credence to your argument. Good luck.

Apologies I should have added that it was investigated and was unexplained . I hate having it but guess I am stuck with it .

Hi Avalynd65

I also had heamaturia for several years may be once a year. At one time so severe almost had blood transfusion.

Had cyctoscopy like Maggiet and found small inflammation in the bladder. I have had no further problem since, now going for about 6 years. Good luck

Glad you got yours sorted out . Mine is microscopic so I don't see it , it's just mentioned now every time I have a dipstick test . It's constant now for a few years .

I understand, you should send urine sample to the Lab.

I have microscopic haematuria so I can't see it , it's just visible under microscope . It's ongoing and no cause has been found to date so I try not to get hung up about it . Good luck with your results , hope you get good news .
