Online petitions seem to have some success. Could we start one demanding an inquiry into the treatment of hypothyroidism?

This is an excellent suggestion :-)

Hi

Thanks for posting.

There are several such petitions currently running, you can find information here:

Hi I've just signed this petition. So thank you for letting me know about it. However, it has been running since Feb 2013 and less than 500 people have signed it to date so I don't think it will get very far unless more people sign it. I think this could be a good one because it lobbies the World Health Organisation and they are the ones who may be able to instigate a change if pressure is applied heavily and for long enough.

Thyroid UK currently does not have plans to start any petitions as we have a lot of other projects we are working on.

However, we will continue to support the Scottish Thyroid Petition. :)

Petitions? Oh yes, get 100, 000 signatures and they will talk about it in parliament, thats as long as there hasn't been a previous debate that went on too long or that they consult patients not the BTA or BTF or RCP or any other agency with a vested interest!!
