Does he have any signs of hypothyroidism or is he just depressed?
I very much doubt he's undiagnosed hypo. He was seriously ill last year having picked up dysentery during his tour in Albania and was in the Royal Free for a week when he returned. Was subjected to a battery of tests.
He's also a long distance cyclist and runner and probably wouldn't have the energy if hypo. He's suffered depression for years since his breadown and it unfortunately recurs.
...could be adrenal fatigue after being poorly - which as we know can impact the thyroid. He does seem to have dark circles beneath the eyes ? Addictions are linked to thyroid I have read. He could well be producing adequate T4 but it has to convert into the T3 which the brain needs or the cortisol could be blocking the T3 receptors....as most of us know....so rosetrees could have a point....
There are certainly many candidates for a full TFT within the government ....we see them all the time on the screen !...and not always the ones nodding off in the afternoon.....
He does look ill,but then I think a lot of mental health problems are to do with other illnesses such as thyroid.
