Hello after a bit of advice please
A hoarse voice IS one of the symptoms of hypo for some people. I get mine returning when I'm particularly tired or I've over done it.
Oh yes it is to do with thyroid! I suffered from this until I got my meds increased by quite a lot.
When I had grommets put in there was a plump lady on the ward having problems with her voice. The ENT had a look under anaesthetic and was talking to her saying there was nothing wrong, and that it was probably an emotional problem. I do wish i'd known about thyroid symptoms because I would have told her to get tested!
Thank you ladies will update after the visit!!
I developed a hoarse voice before I was diagnosed and still have it even on medication for six years. Sometimes it is more hoarse than others. It is another clinical symptom
Hi I had a hoarse voice for several years (saw specialist etc. nothing wrong) until I started self medicating with NDT. Sometimes I couldn't even answer the phone. Have been on NDT for about 3 years now and the hoarseness went soon after I started it. It was lovely to be able to sing in the car again!!
If it is cyclic, could it be part of pre-menstrual syndrome .
If you can chart it over several months in relation to periods the pure progesterone might help.
