If you do go to the hospitol I would explain that you think it is thyroid related. Are you on any medication? X

I've just responded to your other thread, you won't be wasting their time. I would get checked out just to be on the safe side.

Hi Remember if you go to hospital for this, yu will just see a junior doctor , not an Endo. Far better to first have basic blood tests, TSH, T4 and Free T3, on line if GP not willing or able. Then take it from there, GP or consultant Endo.it could be other things including B12, hormonal and autoimmune, for example or , rheumatology.

Best wishes,

Jackie

Hi jackie i went up the hospital but it was a waste of time. All the doctor said was stop taking the medication and gave me Roletra to stop the swelling.I have an appointment at my G P today so hopefully they will be able to help.max

Hi Max, I would guess that! Also dangerous places, best avoided. I have to go in a lot, for heart and kidneys.Still do all I can to avoid it and you have to vet everything!

I would first find a good Endo , then ask for a referral. Unless GP brilliant their recommendations often far from ideal. I speak from vast experience of consultant referrals etc.

Best wishes,

Jackie
