Oh that is very scary, do as advised above. Remember GP's are GENERAL practitioners I don't think anyone knows just how general.....I'd love to know what exams GP's take, does anyone have a GP friend/relative to ask? Surely that remark means that he might not even be a GP!

A friend of mine who is a doctor's receptionist got into trouble for asking a locum(temporary) GP for his ID. He made such a fuss about it that her manager had to be called and she got into trouble for "embarrassing" this Gp who had worked at the practice before but she didn't recognize him. You couldn't make it up could you?

Thats ridiculous! The manager should have been praising her for being so vigilant.
