Milk Thistle?

Has anyone taken Milk Thistle while on Carbimazole? I understand that it can be a bit harsh on your liver and I do enjoy the odd glass of wine of an evening, but would like to protect it as much as I can. Any experiences of vits and supplements please.

Thanks

As Far as I'm aware Milk Thistle protects the liver and helps it recover after a glass (or even 3 or4 of wine)!

I thought Milk Thistle was good for the liver because its reputed to help detox the body.
