Unfortunately the short and long synacthen tests are known to be totally the opposite, or should I say that the doctors interpretation of these tests are not very reliable.

Unless your adrenals have totally packed up and your have Addisons, or you are producing to much cortisol and have Cushings the doctors do not seem to recogised anything else. They do not seem to recognise that people can have adrenal fatigue.

Sorry if its not the answer you wanted.

Thanks Moggie, I thought as much...my son is having the Genova saliva test but not sure if the Endo will recognise this as a test....trying to get some evidence to put in a very strong response to the "Trust" thanks again

Hi My Endo says that the only reliable test, is, through a doc , it is the 24 hour urine collection, with a cortisone tablet ( script) ant midnight and a blood test a exactly 9am. Indeed, this always shows mine. One would not want to take cortisone ( the treatment) unless really needed.

Best wishes,

Jackie
