Many people would feel ill at that level.

The trouble we have is that the top of the reference range fr the Free T4 test varies hugely around the laboratories in the UK. I have seen top of range being anything from about 14 to 26 or so. So you could be right at top of range, OR very slightly over range, OR very much over range.

To decide which, you really need to find out the reference range for the lab which did your test. Your GP surgery might be able to help.

Hello I saw on GP computer with difficulty ? -18 ,so yes am above range ,it was higher than that before I reduced dose of thyroxine twice ,am a little better but still feel ill.GP wants to take bloods in 7 weeks and reduce again if nessacery again.I feel Iam taking poisen !

You may have a conversion problem. I've read that your T4 becomes either T3 or reverse T3 which may block the effect of overdosing. But, of course, you don't want high levels of reverse T3. stopthethyroidmadness.com/l...
