.My blood was taken.I was given an injection and half an hour after another blood test for cortisol results were 268 before injection

and 689 after blood test.Is this normal.I also have swelling under my arm and an inverted nipple and burning pain in that breast

Please get yourself along and have the breast/underarm issues looked at by gp.it does not sound thyroid connected.

Thanks for your help.I have an under active thyroid for 20 years.I had my cortisol tested with a blood test, then given injection and tested again.I don't understand the results.They were 261 before injection then 683 after

261 is Low, however the increase is good which is what they are looking for (200 min increase)

Did the breast pain etc come on after the test ? You should deffo get it checked out but I had similar a day or two after, with a blue/green discharge, which is apparently a hormonal imbalance although the doctor had never heard of it before (nothing new there!)

As cupi says don't worry about those results for now, just get your breast problem looked at asap.
