I was diagnosed hypothyroid (Hashimotos), in early September after several years of symptoms, poor quality of life and GP visits. I have been unable to work for a couple of months. I started on 25 levothyroxine and then moved to 50 then 75. My TSH is coming down and last time was around 1.0. The GP thinks that means I should now be well. Trouble is I'm not and my symptoms are increasing, I counted 55 on the ThyroidUK checklist! I feel like I'm heading towards being practically disabled. Doing my research, I think I also have adrenal problems (lots of the symptoms). I just don't think the GP is going to sort me out. I've been looking into Drs who will do more extensive testing and also prescribe Natural Hormone, as it seems this actually works! I live in the south of England, near Reading. Does anyone have Dr recommendations? I hear Dr Skinner is excellent, also has anyone any experience of Dr Hugh Simpson at the Royal Berks Hospital? Thank you in advance!
