Take supplements myself. Have realised I had hypo after giving birth and hysterectomy but healed spontaneously. Is it better to push on or rest when tired? Thank you'll.

In my opinion, be very careful not to overdo it (if possible). You are likely to worsen your state.

Like Rod says they have to give you them and you need the lab ranges too. My practise just print them off for me but some people here have to pay for them, you are entitles to them

I was lucky that my family had all left home so I rested as much as I could, I treated myself like an invalid, husband shopped and cooked for a while while I rested and eventually I felt more normal but I think it is better to rest as much as you can. Especially when you consider you have not only given birth but had a major operation. I know it won't be easy with a baby but treat yourself kindly - it won't be forever but you need to be good to yourself after all that.

Usually, you would have a blood test after six weeks and have a rise in medication.

Before we had hypothyroidism, we used to take everything the doctor said without query. Now, we know the difference we have to read and learn and insist, otherwise we stay unwell.

Follow you body's instinct as you are obviously low on the hormone which every cell in our body needs to

operate.
