What can I ask my dr to do for me and take me seriously about coming off antidressants and looking into my tyroid and anti bodies??
Drs on Thursday!!: What can I ask my dr to do for... - Thyroid UK
Drs on Thursday!!
This is a link and maybe your GP will take notice. Always get a copy of your thyroid gland blood tests complete with the ranges and even if GP says 'normal', post on a new question for members to comment.
My TSH levels where checked in June they where 4.30
They didn't want to put me on levo when TSH was 6.37 they said I was 'boarderline'
I feel like I'm 'just' out of the brakets on everything!
See another dr and continue to do so until you find one that does listens !!!!
Gather as much info as you can from here and thyroid uk and use the knowledge when you see the gp.
It's incredibly hard and frustrating finding someone (gp) to take your symptoms seriously and understand its not paranoia and you really are poorly.
If all fails bite the bullett and see a private gp.
There are many on here who are far more knowledgeable than me, and I'm sure they will reply.
As with many sufferers I saw various specialists for many different ailments but no one ever referred me to a thyroid specialist !!! I made the request myself armed with any info I had and as soon as I said I would go private I got my referral.....
Good luck.
I took a long list of all my symptoms and made sure I told Doc all my ills, felt a bit silly with it, but it was worth it's weight in gold.
