You say your Vit B12 is 2662 ? and the range stops at 900 ? if so you don't need to take any extra B12 as you are way over the range. You should find out why it is so high.

It was high as I had been taking sublingual B12 for over a year. I have since stopped taking it.

It's the Ferritin and folate I was wondering if I should take supplement for as they are in range but a little low. I am hypothyroid and having symptoms of anxiety ( jittery tummy feeling ). I have been told by people on thyroid UK that instead of reducing my levo I should take spatone to up the iron levels as being low can cause these symptoms and not the levo

The only low result I can see here is your folate level, please do not take any more B12 or iron as you do not seem to be having regular enough blood tests to check and re check when your levels are optimal. You are lucky that your body will automatically get rid of any access B12 but if your were to do this with iron I think you would have been in trouble.

Your ferritin level is not low - a level of 70 is said to be optimal for thyroid patients and as you are at 80 then you have no need whatsoever to supplement.

Please only take supplements if and when blood tests confirm you are low and then ask for your levels to be checked at regular intervals.

From your results it would seem you have a problem with your methylation cycle, and your low folate would indicate a defect with the gene that controls folate metabolism. It is called MTHFR and can cause a wide range of problems.

The website heartfixer has lots of info on methylation, also Dr Amy Yasko. Half the population have methylation defects and they cause terrific problems, interacting with other thyroid issues to make things worse. Regenerus labs who do the DI02 test also do a full methylation pathways panel. They are gene tests and are therefore undisputed evidence of a problem, x
