A referral at last
I am glad you persevered and wish you well in your consultation.
I wonder if you got the name of a sympathetic Endocrinologist/doctor from louise.warvill@thyroiduk.org as some Endocrinologists may not be helpful.
No I didnt really have a choice as my insurance chooses the hospital and endo for you, so its just fingers crossed xx
3 is not low at all. It is high. It is a logarithmic scale meaning that the difference between 3 and 6 is the same as the difference between 0.5 and 1. I.e. 3 is near the top of the range.
I hope your endo is helpful and you get treatment.

thanks for your help next step the endo x
ann, I know how difficult it is to find a knowledgeable doctor to help you. After many years myself, I'm wondering if the reason we are not getting well is because we haven't gotten to the root causes. This series on the Hidden Causes of low thyroid is very convincing and I have read reams of articles regarding Hashimoto over 20 years. You might consider it yourself. youtube.com/watch?v=nZ_CP7l... This is the first in a series.
