My mum has a huge goiter and has had a recent blood test. There is nothing on the test results which refers to TSH levels?

Could you put the results on here for people to comment on, and if as you say the thyroid hasn't been tested she should go back to the doctors and ask for tsh t4 and t3 to be tested, then get a copy of the results. Its hard to believe that with a huge goitre that the thyroid wouldn't be tested. Any way that is doctors for you.

I would like to but am just a little worried about identifying my mother. The GP who missed the goiter 'had a go' at me when he felt challenged. I worry he might see this web site and his actions consequently being subsequently motivated by spite.

You could send it by private message and the person may be able to advise.

This is a link for information. It would appear that for goitre the T3 is the important hormone.
