Silly first thoughts are, check for nits. Once you are sure that isn't a cause speak to your doctor. if there is any sort of parasite responsible they will find it. If not, they can advise you as to what it may be and be able to give you something for it.

Hi,

Its definately not nits lol I have had this on and off for several years but only recently my lymph nodes have become reactive.

Today my neck feels really tender and swallowing is difficult, may need a trip to the Drs.

Hi angelharley. I sometimes get an itchy scalp and swollen lymph nodes in the back of neck too, but not sure why this happens. My GP calls it a viral infection, but seems to give this diagnosis whenever I see him! Seems like he's really saying "I don't have a clue". Not much help I'm afraid but I thought you might like to know.

Hi jen,

I definately don't have nits lol or any other parasite in my head. I've had this off and on for several years but it's only recently that my lymph nodes have started to react.

This morning I've awoke with my neck feeling really tender, below my ears ache and I seem to swell either side of my nose too. Also the skin on my neck is imflammed especially down the left side.

I was going to call my GP but like you said, he will probably say its a virus and nothing to be concerned about.

We all know our own bodies, I wish they would listen!!

...have had an itchy head for as long as I can remember with sore spots at the top/back of head ! When my hair needed a wash they itched more ! Sometimes they would bleed if I was scratching when distracted. Have just checked and they have gone - wow ! Just NOT there and no itch. Just hadn't realised. Must be the improved treatment plan....thank you for bringing this to my ttention.

Maybe you need to look at your overall treatment and ensure you are optimally treated.....

So in answer to your question - yes they are probably related !

Thanks Marz,

I've started T3 about 2 weeks ago, so maybe this has flared my Hashi's.

I also get these raised lumps between my chest.

Hi I had this kept thinking the kids had given me nits it got worse and had this intense itching on abdomen particularly at night it would wake me up. There was no rash or anything to see. Eventually it struck me that it was like an allergic reaction I changed brand of thyroxine and it stopped. For me teva and eltroxin the culprits. Might be worth considering.

Ummm...u might be on the right track there. I am sensitive to all sorts, so maybe it is a reaction to the meds.

My neck is really tender this morning and the pain is running along my shoulders.

If it doesn't ease up today, I'll make an appointment with my GP.

Thanks

Nat
