how old is that child? Have you had any other tests, iron, Vit B12, Vit D, etc etc. How long have you been on the 300mcg, what test result does this amount of medication relate to?
Have your doses been changed during that time. If your doctor during that time has reduced your dose at any point then he doesn't really know what he is doing and you should be asked to be referred to an endocrinologist as at no point has your TSH been low enough. Your TSH is still very high and you need your thyroxine increased. Anything above 2 is high. Aim for a TSH of 0.5. 300ug is actually quite a high dose. Do you ever forget to take tablets? If not then there may be something else going on that is affecting your metabolism of the thyroid hormones.
TSH 2.8 u/ml [0.35 -6.9] This is a TSH result with the normal ranges following. But this is an awful example because anyone taking meds for hypo should be about 1 or lower. All lab tests have their own ranges preset so your test can be evaluated again what they consider normal for their lab.
