Awaiting results for TSH and Antibodies - Given reading for Potassium - Level : 3.8 (Range 3.5 to 5.00). Did not know I was being tested for it or understand why. Any advice would be appreciated.

Many Thanks.

Hi That is Ok, high in range is dangerous sometimes. You do not want it any lower. it changes everyday. There is some in food and more magnesium in food.Make sure you also have a magnesium tet, separate as strongly effects Potassium and is actually more important, tiny range. Make sure your sodium is in range but low in range. You would have had U1`s and E`s,( kidney function ) they include sodium and potassium and also GFR which is not a range but a number, over 60 is good.

If potassium on the low side, best thing is to have a banana and a kiwi fruit every day.

Best wishes,

Jackie
