I am wondering if there is any link with Hypothyroidism?
I have been joining up some dots. Dry eyes, dry mouth, difficulties with swallowing, joint pain, fatigue, etc etc. Spoken to some people who have it, think I may have it also.
Just wondered if anyone else has it and how did you get diagnosed?

I have Secondary Sjogrens, although i,m not sure what to, as i have scleroderma, PBC, and hypothyroidism. My eyes are very dry and i have to put gel in them frequently, and they get quite mucky. I have been referred to an opthalmologist and am seeing them in June. I also get a dry mouth, and occasionally i get lumps in my neck. When this was scanned it showed patchy saliva glands, so it looks like these are getting blocked, so i am also seeing someone from ENT in June. It will be a busy month!
Thank you - I will be seeing my opthalmologist soon, and also my dentist. Hopefully the GP will agree that this is what is going on. I should have shares in eye drops, and can drink for Britain!
That is very interesting, because I have rarely needed a plaster for cuts - clots so fast. Thank you very much for the info. I am off to see the GP tomorrow to ask for a diagnosis, wonder what she will say.
Hi If thyroid disease autoimmune, most is, then you can end up with lots of autoimmune diseases, watch out for them , then get them treated if it is possible,
How do they check for this? Is it that ANA test? Im hypothyroid, but was told I also am mild lupus too...maybe its really sjogrens....my mouth is so dry lately He has me on Plaquinil...but Ive tried to get him to agree to the littlest doseage...and no steroids...so far.
