Just off the phone from mercury . They said t3 will be available from next month

Wondering aloud here:
If you were on, say, 50 micrograms of oral liothyronine, what would the appropriate injected dose be?
If you were splitting your dose, should you have multiple injections each day?
Or is the idea of injections at the extreme of viability - such that it would only ever be considered as someone fell headlong towards myxoedema coma?

Picked up my script yesterday and they didnt have enough
For me. Told the pharmacist that he had to source them for me
And was told to speak to my doctor as its up to him??
Just wondering - did Mercury say whether they meant the beginning of next month?
Lyn spoke to Mercury yesterday and they gave the impression it would be by the end of this month - they are supposed to be confirming ASAP....

Hi he wasn`t really giving much away tried asking more questions.till he asked if I was a patient.and said to discuss it with my GP
Can anyone enlighten me ... who is responsible for my T3 the doctor or chemist?
In situations like this
I spoke to the general pharmaceutical council and they said that if the medication was not available it was up to my GP to prescribe something else. When I said there was nothing else and that T3 is available in other countries she just reinterated that it was the GP that was responsible. She then said that I needed to contact NHS England to ask as many questions as you like about your NHS prescription by your NHS GP and why there were problems. I have just received an acknowledgement email and a case number and I should be contacted soon with answers. It would be good to know exactly what the problem is and to get it highlighted as this should never have happened.

Hope the same applies to scotland.
I sent an email to Mercury on 15th May and received the following reply today 24th May
"Dear Sally,
Further to your e-mail, we do realize that many patients are dependent on Liothyronine tablets as their only source of thyroid medication and if they don’t receive their medication on a regular basis, they could suffer from the following symptoms.
Please be informed that Liothyronine tablets will be available for sale by end of next week with wholesalers. All pharmacists and patients can contact our customer services team on 02085889441 to get information on how to place an order.
We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience that patients have been facing due to the unavailability of this product.
Please feel free to contact us for further assistance."
Hope this helps allay some fears Salty
